Remember Me Thursday

As many of you are probably aware of, today is Remember Me Thursday. It is a day where we honor and remember all the pets that were never able to find their forever homes. Millions of perfectly healthy and adoptable cats and dogs are euthanized each year, which is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE.

If everyone chose to adopt rather than purchase a pet from a pet store or breeder, think about all the innocent lives that could be saved. Spaying and neutering your pet also can greatly reduce the very high number of unwanted animals.

You can light a virtual candle in honor of Remember Me Thursday by visiting this page.

  1. That is a great post. I hope one day that puppy mills will be completely obsolete.

  2. And maybe one day there won't be a need for this kind of post or day. Life is precious, what a shame to waste it.

  4. Definitely sad to think about, but a great way to raise awareness of adoption.
